Filipino middle Mika Reyes transfers to Petron Tri-Activ Spikers

Filipino semi-professional 22 year-old middle blocker Mika Reyes officially said goodbye to her told team at De La Salle University Lady Spikers in F2 Logistics behind and signed a two year contract with Petron Tri-Activ Spikers in the Philippines for the rest of the 2017 season.

Reyes played for De La Salle University from 2011-2016 and graduated with a degree in Psychology on June 18, 2016. Reyes was ready for a change of scenery and Petron Tri-Activ Spikers was the perfect fit. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers was previously called the Petron Blaze Spikers until this upcoming 2016-2017 season. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers won the 2015 All-Filipino championship and their second consecutive PSL title. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers was the runner up in the 2016 Grand Prix.

Reyes won the 2014 Philippine National Games Best Blocker award and was named the brand ambassador of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) for the 2016 season. Reyes was the 7th and final player to be selected to play in the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship and also won the UAAP championship 3 years in a row.

Rhea Katrina Dimaculangan, Carmela Tunay, Cherry Ann Rondina, and Marivic Velaine Meneses are all new additions to the Petron Tri-Activ Spikers for 2017 as well.
