OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

R.S. – Senior Jack Wilson has been selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 4.1 kills/set while hitting .404 in a 2-0 week for George Mason. Wilson began the week with 12 kills, which included four service aces, in a five-set victory against Barton as he would hit .281 for the match. Jack concluded the week with 17 kills and hit .560 in a 3-0 sweep against Charleston (W. Va.) in EIVA action. Wilson is ranked 3rd in the EIVA in kills (234), 5th in service aces (24), and 6th in kills/set (3.25). This is Jack’s second EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior Oboh – Princeton – 6-7 – MB – Junior – Old Bridge, N.J.
Junior Junior Oboh has been selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week after recording 18 total blocks in a 1-2 week for Princeton in non-conference action. Oboh began with seven total blocks at #3 BYU in a 3-1 defeat then followed with four total blocks in a five set victory at Grand Canyon. Junior capped the week with another seven total block performance as the Tigers fell 3-1 to the Lopes. Oboh averaged 1.5 blocks/set as he also chipped in offensively with 17 kills while hitting .519 for the week. Junior is currently ranked 5th in the EIVA in block assists (54) and total blocks (63) while ranked 8th in solo blocks (9) and 7th in blocks/set (0.89) this season. This is Oboh’s second EIVA Defensive Player of the Week selection in 2017.
