Current Turkish League’s runner ups Eczacibasi will do everything in its power for a better chance at the title this upcoming season. After pulling the transfer of the summer so far, signing Korea’s Kim Yeon-Koung, it has recently announced in its official website the contract extension of youngster outside hitter Hande Baladin. She was one of the core pieces for the team in its last campaign, in which it went 23-1 in the regular season, but ultimately fell to VakifBank in the finals.

Although only 21 years old, Baladin has enjoyed a lot of success in Turkey, both at the club and youth national team levels. In 2016 she won the FIVB World Club Championship and last year she won MVP honors in the FIVB U23 World Championship, while also leading Turkey to the title. Currently in Turkey’s roster for the VNL, she is having one her first chances at making a name for herself now on the senior international circuit. Although only seeing ocasional court time in the tournament, as Turkey has been rotating all of its players in and out of its line-up, she has managed a respectable 3 points per set average on 44% hitting so far.
