Middle blocker Ashleigh Atsaros is taking her talents from Huntington Beach to Fullerton for the 2018 season.
The Huntington Beach native is transferring after a 2017 season at Golden West College, which saw her earn All-Orange Empire Conference honors with a team-leading 219 kills, 2.52 per set and a league leading .408 hitting percentage. The sophomore also notched 67 blocks, 0.77 per set, and 19 aces.
Atsaros put down double-digit kill tallies eight times, including a season-high 19 at Orange Coast on Nov. 3. She hit at a .300 or better clip 18 times, including .500 or better nine times, and put up five or more blocks five times.
As a rookie in 2016, Atsaros managed 1.51 kills per set, while hitting .386 and adding 43 blocks (0.59 per set). She managed just one double-digit kill effort, tallying 15 kills at Cypress, Nov. 16, and tallied five or more blocks on three occasions, including a career-high eight vs. Irvine Valley, Oct. 5.
