“I Could Write A Book About All Of Our Problems” – Jakub Bednaruk

Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz is having a very rough PlusLiga season where everything seemed to go wrong for the team. With 4 games left in its schedule, it currently sits in the second-to-last spot in the league’s standings, with a 4-20 record. Coaches and players alike know the extent of their troubles (Siatka.org):

“I hope that there will be good volleyball from our side. We had a problem with training, because last week we trained in only nine players, three of them setters. I also hope that we will bring Bartek Filipiak back to health, who sprained his ankle in Rzeszów, already in the first set. I could write a book about our problems, but it is these problems that are supposed to create an opportunity for we to play the best we can. The best way to solve problems is a good game.” – Coach Jakub Bednaruk

“We found ourselves in a situation where we have to get all the points points we in the last four games. We can not look at the opponent who are on the other side of the net, we only have to play the best volleyball we can. In our last game against Olsztyn we played really well and hopefully we will at least repeat this effort against them again this Friday.” – Middle Blocker Michał Szalach.

If 15th place Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz hopes to escape relegation, it will have to beat 4 good teams: 3rd placed Gdansk, 7th placed Olsztyn, 8th placed Cuprum, and 9th placed Radom.
