With just over a week before the Illinois volleyball team kicks off the 2017 season, the Illini will offer fans the opportunity to preview the team with the Orange & Blue Scrimmage at Huff Hall on Saturday, August 19 at 7 p.m. CT.
The scrimmage is a ticketed event, however until during the regular season, all seating is general admission. All season ticket packages include a general admission ticket to the match. Admission is $6 to the general public, $3 for youth and free for Illinois students with their I-Card. To purchase a ticket in advance call 1-866-ILLINI-1, visit the Illinois Ticket Office or click HERE to buy online. Tickets will also be available for purchase on site at the Illinois Ticket Office located outside the West entrance of Huff Hall beginning one hour prior to the match.
The Illini return eight players from last year’s squad, including American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-America honorees Brandi Donnelly, Jordyn Poulter and Ali Bastianelli, while also adding a nine-member recruiting class that was rated the seventh-best in the country, including four PrepVolleyball.com Top 100 Senior Aces in Kylie Kuyava-Deberg, Megan Cooney, Marijke Van Dyke and Tyanna Omazic.
Illinois officially opens the 2017 season at the Montana State Bobcat Classic on August 25-26 in Bozeman, Montana. The Illini will take on Gonzaga and host Montana State on Friday, before facing Air Force on Saturday afternoon.
