Ivan Zaytsev Introduced To Fan Who Proposed To Him During WCH

A fan who proposed to Italian wing spiker Ivan Zaytsev during a match in September got the opportunity to meet him on television.

Zaytsev and his admirer were reunited on Italian TV personality Fabio Fazio’s talk show Che Fuori Tempo Che Fa (What A Long Time Ago). In the episode, Fazio showed a clip of the fan proposing to Zaytsev and his astonished reaction.

While Zaytsev sat there with him, he pointed to a member of the crowd who turned out to be the fan, and ushered her on stage. After a quick hug and chat with Zaytsev she returned to the audience.

The fan raised a poster during a match of the 2018 FIVB World Championships with the Italian flag and the caption “Zaytsev Sposami,” which translates to “Zaytsev marry me.”

Following the proposal Zaytsev posted the video of it to his Instagram writing, “I posted this video so when you’re older and you get married your husband will know that you asked me first! But, if you will forgive me, invite me to the wedding!”
