Konstantin Cupkovic Returns To Tours VB Of The French League

French website Lanouvellerepublique.fr has announced that Tours VB has released Slovenian player Ziga Stern and signed 6’9″ Serbian national teamer outside hitter Konstantin Cupkovic as his replacement. Cupkovic, now 30 years old, previously played with the French team in the 2015-16 season, in which he was a French SuperCup winner and MVP. This is what Pascal Foussard, Tours’ director had to say about the transfer:

We know his qualities and he knows the club. It will be time to win. This will also bring a stiff competition for the outside hitter starting spot

Cupkovic has a lot of experience under his belt, having played in European powerhouses Sir Safety Perugia and Skra Belchatow in the in his career. After leaving Tours, Cupkovic played in Greece for Olympiacos and in his homec country. for Pozarevac. In Serbia, though, he had a contractual clause stating that he could leave at any time if he found a team to play in Europe’s top tier leagues.

Tours, which currently sits in 4th place of the French League with a 7-4 record, also took to Instagram to welcome the player:
