Maggie Kozuch and Laura Ludwig have teamed up lately, due to an injury of Kira Walkenhorst. The pair competed at the Porec Major last week, finishing in 15th place overall, earning 360 points to their names and $8,000 to split.
The duo has known each other since they were 14 years old, but have not seen each other much since then. Kozuch was primarily an indoor volleyball player up until this season, her first on the FIVB World Tour, while Ludwig chose the beach route from the start.
Ludwig, herself, is still recovering from an off-season injury and surgery on her shoulder. She was unable to attend the Fort Lauderdale Major that kicked off the 2017 season.
Neither Kozuch or Ludwig are participating in the Gstaad Major that is taking place this week but are both entered in the Vienna Beach World Championships that will take place later this month.
