Poland and China registered Pool B victories on Day 3 of the U20 World Championships to move to 2-1 atop the group alongside the Dominican Republic after opening weekend.

Poland 3, Peru 1
Poland led Peru in all major statistical categories in a four-set win on Sunday. The Polish side led 44-37 in kills, 14-10 in blocks and 9-6 in aces in the victory.
Martyna Lukasik registered a match-high 22 points, with 15 kills, four blocks and three aces to lead Poland. Martyna Swirad (15) and Zuzanna Gorecka (10) also posted double-digit scoring efforts. Swirad tallied six kills and three aces to go with a team-best six blocks, while Gorecka added 10 kills.
Leslie Leyva notched 14 points for Peru, with 11 kills and three aces. Maricarmen Guerrero added eight points, including a team-best six blocks. Ysabella Sanchez (9), Flavia Montes (8) and Katherine Regalado (8) rounded out the team’s scoring.
China 3, Dominican Republic 0
Han Wu racked up 22 points, including 18 kills and four aces, to pace China in a sweep of the Dominican Republic. Hanyu Yang added 17 points, including 14 kills and three blocks.
China downed 49 kills in the three-setter and served up six aces, but the DR outblocked the victors 12-6.
Vielka Michelle Peralta Luna managed 11 points to lead the DR, including nine kills and two blocks. Geraldine Stefany Gonzalez added eight points, with a team-best five blocks and three kills.
