What could be better than coaching at your alma mater? How about earning your 200th career victory at the helm of that school?

Meet Division III Lynchburg College’s Elizabeth Ellinger.

She did just that as her Hornets won a pair of matches at the Greensboro College Invitational this weekend. Sweeps of Greensboro and Elizabeth City State gave Ellinger the milestone win.

Ellinger, a 2002 Lynchburg grad, rejoined her alma mater in 2004 as an assistant coach and took over the program in 2006.

Her teams have posted four 20 win seasons (2007, 2009, 2011, 2012) as Ellinger built a  196-130 in her first 11 years with the Hornets.

Ellinger still owns the school records for kills in a match (29 on Sept. 2, 2001), season (478 in 2001) and career (1,240 from 1998 to 2001).
