Amber Rolfzen put up a wall at the net for the Huskers, tying her season-best of nine blocks along with five kills in the three set sweep over the Boilermakers.
Kadie Rolfzen put down 11 kills and nine digs, hitting for .350, while Mikaela Foecke had eight kills on a .368 hitting percentage. Setter Kelly Hunter dished out 30 assists and five blocks.
For Purdue, Danielle Cuttino recorded a match-high 12 kills and Brooke Peters posted a match-high 13 digs.
Nebraska held Purdue to a .031 hitting percentage while hitting .273 for the match.

LINCOLN, Neb. – The third-ranked Nebraska volleyball team put on a defensive clinic in a 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 sweep of No. 17 Purdue in front of 8,004 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Sunday afternoon.
The Huskers (14-1, 5-1 Big Ten) tallied 11 blocks as a team, including nine by Amber Rolfzen, to limit the Boilermakers (11-6, 1-5 Big Ten) to a season-low .031 hitting percentage. Nebraska never trailed after an early 2-1 deficit in the second set.
Offensively, the Huskers hit .273 and got better as the match went on, finishing with a .364 clip in the third set. Kadie Rolfzen had 11 kills and nine digs while hitting .350. Mikaela Foecke had eight kills and hit .368. Briana Holman and Andie Malloy each had seven kills. Amber Rolfzen had five to go with her season-high-tying nine blocks.
Kelly Hunter had 30 assists to go with five blocks – all of which came with Amber Rolfzen, including four in the second set.
Kenzie Maloney and Justine Wong-Orantes each added seven digs, as the Huskers had a 38-35 digs advantage. Annika Albrecht chipped in six.
Danielle Cuttino had 12 kills for the Boilermakers.
Set 1: The teams played a sideout affair early before the Huskers got a Kadie Rolfzen kill and Purdue hitting error for a 12-10 lead. Kadie Rolfzen posted another kill and Amber Rolfzen won a joust for a 14-11 margin. Holman placed a kill to the back corner to make it 16-13, and she combined with Kadie Rolfzen for a block to push the lead to four, 18-14. A kill by Malloy and a Purdue hit into the net made it 22-16 Huskers. Malloy and Amber Rolfzen teamed up for a block for set point, and the Huskers finished set one, 25-17, with a Hunter dump. NU outhit Purdue .206 to .094. Kadie Rolfzen had four kills on five swings, and the Boilermakers served five errors in the first set.
Set 2: A trio of kills by Foecke and Kadie Rolfzen boosted the Huskers to a 13-6 lead, which came on a 6-0 run. The Huskers also posted three blocks to build the lead. Purdue trimmed it to 14-11 before Foecke and Malloy blasted consecutive kills. The lead was back at seven, 20-13, after a block by Amber Rolfzen and Hunter, and they teamed up again for a block to make it 23-13. The Huskers won the set, 25-13, with a 7-0 run to close it out. Hunter and Amber Rolfzen combined for four of the Huskers’ five blocks in the set, as NU held Purdue to -.108 hitting.
Set 3: Nebraska never trailed in the third set, finishing out the sweep with a 25-17 win. A kill and ace by Hunter around a Holman kill made it 3-0 at the start. Purdue tied it 6-6, but the Huskers answered with three straight points to go up 9-6. After Purdue pulled within 15-14, NU closed the set on a 10-3 run with Holman and Foecke each posting a pair of kills and Malloy tallying a block and a kill. Hunter ended the match with an ace.

LINCOLN, Neb. – Junior Danielle Cuttino posted a match-high 12 kills, but No. 3 Nebraska was just too much for the No. 17 Boilermakers on Sunday afternoon, topping Purdue 3-0. The Huskers won the match 25-17, 25-13 and 25-17.
Cuttino (12) was followed offensively by junior Azariah Stahl’s six kills and redshirt freshman Blake Mohler’s five. Mohler also added three blocks to lead the Purdue net defense alongside redshirt sophomore Sherridan Atkinson (3). In the back court, sophomore Brooke Peters managed a match-high 13 digs, followed by redshirt junior Ashley Evans (7). Peters also served up Purdue’s lone ace of the match.
Nebraska hit at a .273 clip and held the Boilermakers to a .031 effort, while outblocking Purdue 11-6.5.
The teams split the first 20 points of Set 1, but Nebraska came out on top 25-17. The Huskers broke the 10-10 tie with a 4-1 run, but a kill by Stahl and a Husker error cut the margin to one at 14-13. From that point, Nebraska put up 11 of the final 15 to close out the win. Cuttino led the Boilermakers with six kills in the set, which saw Purdue register four blocks.
Nebraska held the Boilermakers to a negative .108 hitting percentage in Set 2 in a 25-13 win. The Boilermakers scored first on a kill by Cuttino, but the teams traded points after that leading to a 4-4 tie. The Huskers managed nine of the next 11, including three blocks to pull away to a 13-6 advantage. Purdue narrowed the gap to three at 14-11 with help from two Cuttino kills and a triple block by Cuttino Evans and Mohler. Nebraska held the Boilermakers at bay from there with 11 of the final 13 points. Cuttino had four kills and Stahl added three in the set, but the Huskers put up five blocks in the stanza.
Purdue rallied from a 3-0 deficit and eventually tied things up at 6-all as Mohler put down two kills and Nebraska gave the Boilermakers four points on errors. The Huskers scored six of the next eight to go up 12-8 and force a Purdue timeout. The Boilermakers put together a 4-1 run out of the break, with two kills from Cuttino and an ace by Peters. Nebraska pushed ahead by four at 18-14, but kills by Mohler and Stahl put the Boilermakers within three at 19-16. The Huskers finished out the set and match with a 6-1 run. Mohler put down four kills in the final stanza.
The No. 17 Boilermakers (11-6, 1-5 B1G) return to action at 8 p.m. Friday, when they take on Penn State in Holloway Gymnasium.
