Former Oregon State Beaver Amanda Brown is moving up in the pro volleyball world. After spending last season in the Greek league and the year before in the Czech league, where she teamed with another American Jenna Potts in a blocking team.

Now, Brown has signed to join Volley-Ball Club Chamalieres in France’s Pro Volley A league. With that club, which plays in Vichy, she’ll be a part of a rebuilding effort as the team tries to climb up the ladder of one of the top women’s pro leagues in the world after finishing 12th out of 12 teams with just a 4-18 record last season.

Last season, another American played at middle blocker for Chamalieres: UNC alum Paige Neuenfeldt, as part of her first season as a pro. Neither Neuenfeldt nor the club has announced if she will return for the 2018-2019 season.
