Oregon outside hitter Lindsey Vander Weide racked up 22 kills and a career-best 28 digs to lead the #16 Ducks to a five-set victory over #21 Washington State on Sunday.
Along the way, the senior put her name in elite company as one of just 11 active Division I players with 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.

Vander Weide is the third player to join the elite group this week, joining Valparaiso’s Katherine Carlson and Allison Ketcham, who posted their 1,000th kills against Indiana State on Friday.
The Turlock, California, native is at least the fifth player in Oregon history to post 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, following:

Vander Weide entered 2018 with 1,015 kills and 875 digs. In 11 matches, she has added 135 kills (3.38 per set) and 139 digs (3.48 per set) to her tally. All told, Vander Weide now boasts 1,150 kills and 1,013 digs.
Those totals include seven double-digit dig tallies in 2018, including a season-best 28 against Washington on Sunday, eight double-digit kill totals and five double doubles.
In all, the 2016 AVCA Third-Team All-America and three-time All-Pac-12 honoree (2015, 2016, 2017) has posted 33 career double-doubles.
Oregon sits at 9-3 on the season and 2-0 in the Pac-12 heading into next weekend’s home matches against Arizona (Friday) and Arizona State (Sunday).
