Pepperdine Snags Commitment From 2020 RS/S Emma Ammerman

Class of 2020 right side and setter Emma Ammerman has verbally committed to the University of Pepperdine women’s volleyball program.

Ammerman is a junior at Chaparral High School in Parker, Colorado. So far the team is 17-1 and she has logged 308 assists (4.9 per set), 120 kills (1.9 per set) on a .167 hitting percentage, 120 digs (1.9 per set), 31 aces (0.5 per set) and 27 blocks (0.4 per set) according to her MaxPreps profile.

This is also her third year of varsity. To this point for her career she has 577 assists (4.1 per set), 182 digs (1.3 per set), 143 kills (1.0 per set) on a .200 mark, 56 aces (0.4 per set) and 35 blocks (0.2 per set).

Pepperdine is off to a 13-6 start to the 2018 season with a 7-2 mark as a member of the West Coast Conference (WCC). Their roster features one RS/S, two setters and one opposite and one player who can fill the opposite role with another the setter spot. Of that group, two are seniors and one is a junior, meaning they are set to depart prior to Ammerman’s freshman season in the fall of 2020.
