After 15 rounds of the Russian Super League, Zenit-Kazan and Belogorie continue to lead the pack, as has been the case all season long. With just 11 rounds remaining, the bottom half of the league will need to make some moves or they fear relegation for next season.
Player of the Week: Gyorgy Grozer
Grozer picked up his second “Player of the Week” honor as he filled up the stat sheet with 28 points on 21 kills, four blocks and three aces in a losing effort against Zenit St. Petersburg. After taking some time off from the national team, the 33-year-old German star is still a dominant force internationally, having led his home country to the silver medal at the 2017 European Men’s Championship.

Zenit St. Petersburg continues to impress in their first season of the Russian Super League, this time pulling out a come-from-behind five set win over Lokomotiv. Oreol Camejo led the way with 19 points while Evgeny Sivozhelez fired four aces. Gyorgy Grozer tallied a week 15 high 28 points for Lokomotiv. With the win, Zenit St. Petersburg maintained their position in the top five of the league standings.
