After receiving the news that long-time crowd favorite Destinee Hooker had returned to the club, Osasco fans got yet another reason to celebrate: the team has found a new m aster sponsor. After splitting up with Nestlé after more than a decade of successful runs, the club will now be sponsored by Audax, a soccer club from the city. Soccer-volleyball partnerships are not uncommon in Superliga: Sada/Cruzeiro is by far one of the best volleyball teams in the world, while Corinthians/Guarulhos, although just starting out, already has a rapid growing fan-base.

Osasco is now about to undergo its 22th season. One of the most successful clubs in Brazilian volleyball history, it’s a 5 times Brazilian champion, and a 1x World Champion.
