Stanford Beach’s 2018 Schedule Includes 12 Home Matches

The Stanford beach volleyball team has announced their 2018 schedule that includes 12 home meets prior to the Cardinals hosting the Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Championships.

The Cardinals begin their 2018 campaign on the road in Hawaii, where they will face off against #5 UCLA and #3 Hawaii twice each over two days of play. They will then turn around to come back home for eight straight home matches, none being ranked teams. Their third ranked opponent of the season will come on March 24, when they face off against #9 Arizona at the Pac-12 South Tournament, followed up with #1 USC on March 25.

On April 7-8, Stanford will host their second tournament of the year, where they will take on Cal Poly, Pacific, UCLA and Saint Mary’s. Prior to the Pac-12 Championships from April 26-28, the Cardinals will travel to Seattle for the Pac-12 North Tournament to take on Oregon, Washington, USC and California.

Last season, the Cardinals went 13-10 on the year and falling out of the Pac-12 Championships on the first day of the competition after losing to Arizona State and Arizona.

The Cardinals are returning a number of players from their 2017 squad, including Kathryn Plummer and Jenna Gray who secured the #1 spot on the team as freshmen.
