VolleyMob Player of the Week Tanner Syftestad maintained his hold on the top spot nationally in kills (5.15) and points per set (6.08), while Loyola’s Paul Narup leads the nation in hitting percentage (.583).
The meeting between USC and Sacred Heart was the first ever for the two programs, with the Trojans stealing a comeback five set victory over the Pioneers. The win marks the fourth consecutive victory for USC.
Sacred Heart rattled off three straight sets for a comeback victory over Penn State – the first win over Penn State in program history. The 3-1 victory also left Sacred Heart atop the EIVA standings, tied with Princeton at 3-1 and one game ahead of Penn State.
