AVP Tour mainstay Phil Dalhausser will be utilizing an alternate partner this weekend in Hermosa Beach, his coach Jason Lochhead. Lochhead has coached Dalhausser and partner Nick Lucena since March 2017.

Top 4 Men, Top 3 Women Left Among AVP Seattle Winner’s Bracket

Action began at the Seattle Open with qualifiers on Thursday and four teams of each gender moving on to Friday’s main draw. At the end of Friday, the top four men’s seeds and top three women’s remain in the winner’s bracket.

Eight Teams Move on To AVP New York Open Main Draw

In a stacked qualifying pool, only four teams per gender advanced through Thursday’s matches into the main draw. Seeds 2, 3, 5 and 9 made it through on the women’s side, while No. 1 qualifier Melissa Humana-Paredes/Sarah Pavan were knocked out. On the men’s side, seeds 1, 2, 4 and 6 advanced, including top seed Ty Loomis/Piotr Marciniak.
