Morehead State’s Olivia Lohmeier was selected as the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. SIUE’s Hope Everett was named the Freshman of the Year, while Murray State’s Becca Fernandez and UT Martin’s Brooke Gyori shared Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Austin Peay’s 30th win was as good as it gets as they downed Murray State in five sets to win the OVC Conference Championship and claim an NCAA Tournament bid.
Day 1 of the OVC Tournament included an Eastern Illinois upset, a Eastern Kentucky comeback from 14-10 in Set 5 and the regular season champ Austin Peay cruising to a sweep.
