Thirty-Three Big Ten Matches to Be Broadcast Live on BTN

Thirty three Big Ten women’s volleyball matches will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network in 2018, including eight doubleheader broadcasts and six late-season wildcard selections.

The broadcast season kicks off with a Top 10 battle between No. 2 Florida and national champion Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska, on August 24.

A matchup between No. 5 Texas and No. 12 Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin, follows on September 1. A Big Ten/Big East contest between Notre Dame and Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Sept. 14 rounds out the non-conference slate.

The first of eight doubleheaders kicks off the conference portion of the schedule on Sept. 19 as Ohio State heads to Wisconsin and No. 10 Minnesota plays host to No. 3 Penn State.

X Big Ten advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2017, including national champion Nebraska and Final Four competitor Penn State. Michigan State moved on to the Elite Eight, while Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin made the Sweet 16. Purdue made a second round appearance, while Michigan lost its opening match of the postseason.

Nebraska is set to make nine appearances on Big Ten Network, while Wisconsin has the second most broadcasts scheduled with eight. Penn State checks in with five, while Michigan, Michigan State and Minnesota have four apiece.
