The CEV has released some of the top plays from this year’s 2017 CEV European Women’s Championships, where players made amazing plays for their squads.
Out of Turkey, Guldeniz Onal kicked up a ball, along with a long string of amazing defensive plays to help the Turkish side to the point against Poland. Turkey on the match over the Poles in four sets during the playoffs stage of the competition. In the match, Onal posted 15 points on 14 kills in the win.
Other top plays came from the Serbian team in Tijana Boskovic slamming down balls while Stefana Veljkovic was a wall at the net. Serbia took the crown at the competition, not dropping a match along the way as a rising team in Europe. Boskovic was named the MVP of the competition after posting 130 points in the team’s six matches while Velijkovic added another 67.
From Azerbaijan, Polina Rahimova posted ace after ace throughout the competition for her team. Throughout the finals stage, she racked up 14 aces.
Finally, from the Netherlands, Laura Dijkema as the setter. She dumped the ball against Serbia in the finals with a swift motion that left the Serbians on their heels.
