USA Women Roll Lineup into Week 4 on 22-Straight Set Wins

For the 2nd-straight week, USA Women’s volleyball head coach Karch Kiraly will carry the same roster into the 2018 FIVB Nations League, with Kelsey Robinson continuing to play at libero.

The Americans had their steadiest week yet of the tournament in week 3 in Bangkok, albeit also their easiest week of the tournament. The Americans earned 3-0 sweeps over Germany, the Dominican Republic, and Thailand and sit atop the table with an 8-1 overall record and 25 points. Team USA has only lost 4 sets in the entirety of the tournament, all of which came in the first week at home in Lincoln, and have won 21 consecutive sets, including 7 consecutive sweeps since moving Robinson from outside hitter to libero.

Now the Americans will head to the Jiangment Sports Hall where they will face their toughest pool yet against Russia, Brazil, and China with a chance to guarantee their spot in the Final 6. Without accounting for any other results, the Americans need 10 more points to guarantee a spot in the Final 6. If they win 3-0 or 3-1 over Russia next week, that number falls to 7 points. Any other Russian losses would continue to erode that tally.
