Imoco Conegliano has announced in its official webpage that after having its team president visit the USA to watch the NCAA Final Four Tournament, it has signed Penn State graduate Simone Lee through the end of its season. She will fill in for injured Megan Easy, also a Penn State alumni, who recently went down with a season ending Achilles injury.
In her senior year at Penn State, Simone Lee captained the team to a 33-3 record all the way to a NCAA Final 4 loss to eventual national champions Nebraska. She was named MVP of the Big Ten Conference and was chosen as a first-team AVCA and VolleyMob All American. She finished the season with averages of 3.89 kills/set at .317 hitting, 2.30 digs/set, 0.58 blocks/set, and 0.20 aces/set. She amassed more than 1000 kills in her four year college career, and finished 3rd in VolleyMob National Player of the Year voting.
