Some players present in Poland’s 2014 WCH champion team took to social media to celebrate their compatriots’ gold medal. Mariusz Wlazly, the 2014 WCH MVP, now 35-years-old and playing for Skra, was clearly one of the most emotional of them:
“WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD !!! It’s hard to get to the top!!! The team faced an uphill battle, but it arose and it became even stronger. For me it is a great happiness and I do not know how to describe the feeling, which is now in me. GREAT CONGRATULATIONS !!! FAITH AND FIGHT TILL THE END “
Krzysztof Ignaczak, now 40 years and retired posted an Instagram video celebrating the team’s gold medal point:
Andrzej Wrona, 30 years old and playing for ONICO Warszawa, also shared his celebration:
Pawel Zagumny was likewise very happy, as he spoke to sportowefakty.wp.pl:
“What a great match, we were practically perfect in our performance. We demolished the Brazilians. Kurek and Kubiak deserved their individual prizes.”
