3 Americans Sign with Allianz MTV Stuttgart

Three USA players have recently signed with Allianz MTV Stuttgart for the upcoming season,  Sarah Wilhite, Madi Bugg and Krystal Rivers.

Sarah Wilhite played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Wilhite ended her collegiate career being named the 2016 ESPNW, AVCA, Big 10 and VolleyMob’s Player of the Year. Most recently she was playing for Busto Arsizio in Italy’s Serie A League. Her stint was cut short due to an ankle injury. She has played for the USA national team in the 2017 FIVB Grand Prix and Grand Champions Cup. Additionally, Wilhite just got married to Jameson Parsons.

Madi Bugg was an outstanding setter for the Stanford Cardinal from 2012-2016. During her time on the farm, she was named to an All American team and the PAC 12 Setter of the Year 3 times. Since graduating in 2016, Bugg has been playing professionally in Europe. Most recently she played with Dresdner SC Volley and won the 2018 DVV cup.

Krystal Rivers played opposite for Alabama and ranked 2nd nationally in kills/set as a senior in 2016 with 5.88 and 3rd in points/set with 6.70. She ended her collegiate career as the SEC Player of the Year and the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year. On senior day, she posted 35 kills to become Alabama’s all time leader. She played for the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors in the Philippines, winning the 2017 conference title. Her last season was spent with the French club, Beziers Volley, and won the 2018 championship.
