Outside hitter Robert Kromm, who has been a member of the German national team since 2006 and a part of the Berlin Recycling Volleys roster since 2012, has announced he is hanging up his jersey to spend more time with family.
The Schwerin, Germany native began his pro career in 2003 with SCC Berlin and spent three years with the team, he has been with six teams since, including two stints with Pallavolo Padova and Blu Volley Verona.

With Berlin Recycling Volleys, Kromm won the German league title each of the last three years (2016-18). He was the MVP of the German League in 2013 and his teams also won league titles in 2004 and 2013, 2014. Berlin won the German Cup and CEV Cup in 2016.
Kromm also earned a bronze medal with the side in the Champions League in 2015, and a fourth-place finish in 2017.
With the German national team, Kromm participated in the 2008 Olympic Games and competed at the 2010 FIVB World Championship.
