As seems to be a common refrain when beach volleyball pairs talk about their partnerships, the defending Olympic gold medalists Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt say that off the court, they have more difference than similarities. They both like dogs and are close with their families, but aside from that, they say they’re totally different in almost every way.
“We have different tastes in music. We think differently about life,” Alison says. “It’s always nice to have something to talk about.”
“I think Alison is right,” Bruno Schmidt says of the pairing. “After a long time of sharing life, you discover more differences than similarities. And these differences just keep on growing. I do this, he does that. But that’s the fun of it. Imagine if we did everything the same.
