Fukuzawa, Japan Deny Korea First VNL Win in 5-Setter

Tatsuya Fukuzawa tallied 19 points, including six in the decisive fifth set, to lift Japan past Korea in a comeback victory on Sunday, denying Korea its first Volleyball Nations League win.

Italy bested Iran in kills and aces, while Ivan Zaytsev notched a match-high 16 points, in a sweep. Canada put up 12 blocks and benefitted from 31 Argentine miscues in a four-set win on Saturday.

Poland Stays Atop #VNL Standings with Sweep; France Downs Germany 3-0

China had the top scorer in the match, but Poland owned nearly every other statistical category, rolling to an easy sweep and a 5-0 record atop the Volleyball Nations League standings. Thibault Rossard and Barthelemy Chinenyeze took their turn in the spotlight as the top scorers for France as the team swept past Germany in all phases of the game.
