Sweeps were the order of the day, but there were a few surprise results in the Big 12 on Saturday.
Kansas, which was looking to rebound from a Wednesday loss to Kansas State dropped its second straight, falling to Iowa State at home in Lawrence. Kansas State, meanwhile, built on its first conference win, upsetting its second straight ranked foe, taking out Baylor in Waco.
Texas handled Texas Tech, while Oklahoma promptly dispatched West Virginia.

Notables
- Micaya White notched 17 kills on an errorless .654 hitting effort and added 12 digs, while Yaazie Bedart-Ghani added a career-high 16 putaways in the Texas win.
- The win extended the Longhorns’ conference home win streak to 30 matches. It also marked Texas’ 35th straight over Texas Tech.
- Texas hit .438 in the win, while limiting Texas Tech to a .210 effort with nine blocks. The Longhorns hit .583 in Set 1, .469 in Set 2 and .325 in Set 3.
- Kansas lost freshman setter Camryn Ennis to an ankle injury in Set 1. Gabby Simpson dished out 21 assists in Ennis’ stead. The Jayhawks have utilized both setters throughout the season.
- With a makeshift lineup, the Jayhawks hit just .075, their lowest clip since Oct. 26, 2011 when they posted a .074 effort.
- Ten blocks helped the Cyclones to the victory over Kansas, including six by Candelaria Herrera.
- Oklahoma hit at a .410 clip, making just eight errors in the match, while limiting West Virginia to an .082 clip.
- Alyssa Enneking (17), Paige Anderson (12) and Sarah Sanders (9) each hit at a .484 or better clip to pace the Sooner offense. Sanders hit at a team-best .600 clip (9-0-15).
- Kansas State outhit Baylor .304 to .263 in the road win. Four players posted double-digit kills for the Wildcats in the win: Brooke Heyne (15), Kylee Zumach (11), Peyton Williams (11) and Gloria Mutiri (10).
- Yossiana Pressley notched 22 kills, nine digs and two blocks for the Bears. The kill tally was her 10th 20-plus putaway effort of the year.
- Kansas State trailed by as many as five at 18-13 in Set 3, before rallying for the 28-26 win. Baylor had a set-point try at 24-22, but the Wildcats stopped both of those amidst a 4-1 run to earn a match-point try of their own at 26-25. A Bear block tied it up at 26, before kills by Williams and Mutiri closed out the win.
