BYU’s Haddock-Eppich Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Volleyball Player of the Week for October 22, 2018.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

LYNDIE HADDOCK-EPPICH, SR., S – BYU

Senior setter Lyndie Haddock-Eppich led No. 1 BYU women’s volleyball to a pair of sweeps last week against Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine, who were both receiving votes in the AVCA poll, to remain undefeated at 20-0 and at the top of the conference standings by a two-match margin at 10-0.

Haddock-Eppich picked up a double-double against the Lions by collecting 24 assists and a season-high 12 digs, leading the team in each category. She also put up four kills on five swings, an ace and a block. Then, against the Waves, Haddock-Eppich contributed 35 assists and 11 digs for another double-double. Additionally, she added a career-high seven blocks and three kills on four swings.

The Player of the Week nod is the second of the season for Haddock-Eppich following a Sept. 17 honor. She is the second BYU player garner league accolades, following Roni Jones-Perry‘s three awards (Sept. 3, Oct. 1, and Oct. 8).
