FIVB World Tour Women’s Day 2 – What’s Up Next

2016 FIVB BEACH VOLLEYBALL WORLD TOUR FINALS

The second day of the FIVB World Tour featured easy sweeps and upsets.

All of the top seeds from their respective brackets get a bye, going straight to the quarterfinals.

Round of 16

Coming off a huge win against the reigning Olympic champions Ludwig/Walkenhorst (Germany), Argentinians Gallay and Klug take on Menegatti/Giombini (Italy) for their first match of the third day of the World Tour at 10:30am on Court 2.

Forrer/Verge-Depre lost easily to the United States pair of Walsh-Jennings/Ross, and will face Canadian pair Broder/Valjas who have yet to win in the tournament on Court 1 at 10:30am.

Canadian duo Bansley/Wilkerson will face reigning Olympic champions Ludwig/Walkenhorst on Court 1 at 11:30am.

Spaniards Elsa/Liliana look to come back after a loss to Brazilian powerhouse team Larissa/Talita, taking on Bawden/Clancy (Australia) who have yet to win a set this tournament at 11:30am on Court 2.

 

Quarterfinals

Brazilian pair Larissa/Talita will take on the winner of the Gallay/Klug vs. Menegatti/Giombini match at 3pm.

Laboureur/Sude (Germany) looks to take on the victors of the Broder/Valjas vs. Forrer/Verge-Depre match up at 3pm.

Walsh-Jennings/Ross (United States) await a tough match against either Bansley/Wilkerson (Canada) or Ludwig/Walkenhorst at 4pm.

Switzerland duo Heidrich/Zumkehr will challenge the winner of the Elsa/Liliana vs. Bawden/Clancy match at 4pm.
