FIVB MEN’S CLUB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

DAY TWO

Bolivar over UPCN 3-1 (33-31, 22-25, 30-28, 27-25)

Bolivar topped UPCN in a high-intensity four-set victory, with Bolivar scoring over 25 points in all three winning sets in Pool B.

Bolivar player Todor Aleksiev, and formerly of UPCN, led the team with 17 kills, while Pia tallied 16.

Bulgarian UPCN player Nikolay Uchikov had 24 kills of his own across the net. Teammate Gustavo finished with 18 kills.

Trentino Volley defeats Minas Tenis Clube 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23) 

Trentino swept Minas Tenis Clube in 3 (25-23, 25-19, 25-23) on Day 2 in Pool B. The former champions faced narrow victories in the first and third sets, but Minas struggled in the second.

Tine Urnaut led Trentino with 12 points and 10 kills, and was the top-scoring player in the match.

Yordan Bisset, of Minas T.C., came away with 10 kills and 11 points.

Sada Cruzeiro over Tala’ea El-Geish 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) POOL A

Sada Cruziero is moving closer to the Top 4 with a win over Tala’ea El-Geish (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) in Pool A. The defending champions swept their opponents, and will face off the weekend’s semifinals.

Evandro Guerra led the incumbents with 13 points, 8 kills and 2 blocks.

A.Abdelhay finished in the lead of T. El-Geish with 12 points, 10 kills and 1 block.
