MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza has announced in its official wesbite that is has parted ways with Serbian national Sanji Trivunović. Here is the team’s official release:

Our professional relationship with Sanja Trivunović has ended. Her contract was terminated by a consensual agreement. We want to thank  her for her time with our squad and wish good luck in her further career – MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza’s sports director Adam Malik

The 27-year-old, 6’2″ Sanji Trivunović , who had been with the Polish team since July of 2017, had a good initial run with the squad. She was then relegated to a lesser role as the season went on with the arrival of foreign setter Ana Grbac, who alongside Barbora Purchartova and Aliona Martiniuc, filled the team’s quota for the maximum number of foreign players allowed on the court at any give time by Polish League’s rules.

MKS currently sits in last place of the Polish League’s standings with a 3-16 record. It is very unlikely it will escape relegation this season, which willl be a shock for fans of the club, since the team has not finished worse than 5th place for the last 10 seasons, when it first debuted into Poland’s top tier league. The club finished runner up to the title in the 2012-13 season and won the Polish Cup twice (2011-12 and 2012-13).
