Former Florida International setter Molly Feldmeth has found a new home and is transferring to Grand Canyon for 2018. Feldmeth will be a sophomore for the fall of 2018 season with three years left of play as she is immediately eligible.

In her first and lone season with Florida International, Feldmeth totaled 310 assists (5.00 per set), 86 digs (1.39 per set), 41 kills (0.66 per set), 10 blocks and nine aces.

“I am very excited to announce the addition of Molly to the program,” Grand Canyon head coach Tim Nollan said in the team’s release of the addition.  “She is a setter with a unique skill set and has been part of some very special teams.  She has played in big matches and understands that success is earned through hard work.”

Grand Canyon, who finished 2017 at 8-18 and 3-11 playing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), now has three setters on their roster for 2018. It’s the second transfer addition for GCU too, as they also tacked on former Rutgers outside hitter Meme Fletcher earlier this offseason.

For FIU, they are left with two returning setters from their 2017 roster for 2018. They went 6-16 and 4-10 playing in the Conference USA.
