After only a semester’s stay, which was filled with controversy, French star Kevin Le Roux and Dynamo Moscow have parted ways, according to the club’s official website. After joining the team as one of its biggest additions this summer from Italian side Modena, Kevin played in only 9 matches in the Russian SuperLeague. He then suffered a back injury that saw him having to return to France for treatment.
According to the site, the decision was mutual. The club expressed its gratitude for the time spent in Moscow and wished him the successful development of his career in his new club.
There were speculations that Kevin’s injury was a result of over-training or overload on the players by the club’s then coach Yuri Marichev, which was enough for club officials to part ways with the experienced coach.
Dynamo Moscow currently sits in SuperLeague’s 4th place in the standings with a 10-6 record.
