Lexie Dorminy, who was South Carolina’s Miss Volleyball in 2015, is leaving her home state after just one year at Clemson. The right side/outside hitter was a mid-year addition to the Tiger roster, joining the team in January 2017.

Dorminy, a Charleston, South Carolina, native played in just one match for Clemson in 2017, notching one kill in two swings and making good on her two serve reception chances.

As a prepster at Porter-Gaud High School, Dorminy was a three-time all-state honoree, earning first team in 2015 and 2016 following honorable mention accolades in 2014. The SCISA Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016 set the school’s career kills mark (1,330) and season kills record (631 in 2016). As a senior, she accounted for 631 kills, 336 digs and 45 aces. 4

Clemson went 7-25 in 2017, including a 2-18 mark in ACC play. Georgia Southern went 8-21 in the fall, including a 3-13 mark in Sun Belt action.
