As the CEV European Small Countries Division championships come to a close, fans will be able to watch all 10 of the matches live online, June 23-25 from Luxembourg.

The Small Countries Division finalists are: Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Scotland, Iceland and Luxembourg.

Friday’s action features three matches, with two involving Cyprus. Saturday brings four matches, including two apiece for each team except for the Faroe Islands and Cyprus. The Faroe Islands play two of the three matches on Sunday.

Cyprus is the defending champion, winning the crown in 2015 in Shaan, Liechtenstein. Scotland was second and Luxembourg finished third.

The host Luxembourg side, also known as the Red Lion Ladies, is coming off a bronze medal effort at the Games of the Small States of Europe in San Marino, May 29-June 3, and will look to reach the podium again.

“If you look at the results of the matches we recently played in San Marino, anything is possible,” Luxembourg coach Detlev Schönberg said.

The team will be vying for a medal without Carla Mulli, who is not eligible to compete since she boasts German citizenship. This roster change is reflective of those several teams in the competition will face.

“We take a lot of confidence from the performance we showed in San Marino where we saw that the team can play with much confidence,” Luxembourg Technical Director Burkhard Disch said. “The special regulations about foreign players apply to us as much as to any other team, so compared to the GSSE all teams have to deal with that. With the help of the fans and of the Luxembourg Volleyball family, the Red Lion Ladies should be able to take another medal.”

Live streaming of the matches will be available here.
