The suspense is over. Everyone knew that after a very successful season with PlusLiga champions Skra Belchatow that 23-year-old outside hitter Bartosz Bednorz would hit it big in the transfer market. People just didn’t know where. But finally, Modena announced in its official website the signing of the Polish national teamer to a two year contract with a third year option.
Here is how he reacted to the news:
“When I heard that my agent was in contact with Modena I had no doubt, playing at PalaPanini is the dream of any volleyball player and I am proud and honored to be part of such a prestigious team. I will be at the disposal of Coach Velasco and with him I am sure I will be able to grow a lot, I will have many champions on my side and this is an element of great stimulus, I can not wait to start this great adventure.”
Bartosz was instrumental in Skra‘s title run, scoring 3.4 points per set in a very effective 53.5% hitting percentage, while also putting in heavy work as one of the team’s primary receivers during the season. Having spent all his professional career in Poland thus far, he’ll now have a chance to prove his worth in the world’s biggest stage in one of Europe’s most prestigious teams.
