Nine Teams to Tangle at LSU Spring Tourney on Saturday

LSU wraps up its spring season by welcoming seven teams to its final home tournament on Saturday. Tulane, McNeese State, Louisiana, Southern, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss and West Florida will join the host Tigers at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center and in the LSU women’s basketball practice gym for action.

Play will begin at 9 a.m. Admission is free.

Tulane is set to face instate foes Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, McNeese and LSU to cap its spring campaign. The Green Wave also took on the Cajuns at home in Fogelman Arena, March 18. Last week, Tulane battled UTSA, Sam Houston State, Incarnate Word and Northwestern State at the FAST Collegiate Invitational.

LSU also competed at the FAST Collegiate Invitational, following a spring opening trip to South Alabama on April 7.

McNeese began its spring with a March 23 meeting with Northwestern State before heading to the FAST Invite.

The Ragin’ Cajuns kicked off its spring campaign by hosting a tournament March 3, taking on Northwestern State, Missouri-West Plains, San Jacinto College, Southern and Xavier New Orleans in a round robin event. From there, it was off to New Orleans, where the Ragin’ Cajuns faced Tulane and Nicholls. Next up was the FAST Invite.

West Florida welcomed Point University, Southern Miss, Pensacola State, Alcorn State, William Carey and the University of Mobile to UWF Field House for a March 24 tournament.
