Now Retired, Rebecca Pavan Will Focus On Teaching And Coaching

After recently announcing her retirement from volleyball at the young age of 28, Canadian opposite Rebecca Pavan already has her eyes set at her new professional goals. She had already made known to her fans through Instagram that she got accepted to the University of Western Ontario to become a high school math and science teacher. Now, she has stated in an interview to her former club, Trefl Proxima Krakow, that volleyball coaching is in her mind as well:

“I decided to finish with professional volleyball and return to school. Since I remember my passion was helping young people. I want to give them a chance to make their dreams come true. Before I started my professional volleyball career, I always dreamed about becoming a teacher. Although now retired from volleyball, I will still be involved in youth training in my dad’s club in my hometown. I hope, that I will help young players achieve their goals in academic competitions, and then at a professional level. Keep fingers crossed!🙂”

Pavan then made public on Instagram her participation in a volleyball camp, to be held in July. She will now have the chance to pass on her experience at Kentucky University, her many seasons abroad, including stints in Germany, France, and Poland, and 53 international caps for Canada at all levels, including playing at the 2014 World Championship.
