Cerrad Czarne Radom, who is currently on 4th place in Polish’s PlusLiga, has just announced in its official website the signing of 24 year old setter Dmytro Dolgopolov, who will fill in for the injured Dejan Vincitz.
Dolgopolov has been training with the team for over two weeks, and the signing came after both parties successfully completed talks on the contract’s specificities. Dolgopolov’s contract is a different one, as he is signed only though the absence of Dejan Vincicia, and the team does now how long he will be out. Team President Wojciech Stepien says that initially, the contract was draw and thought of for a period of two months.
Dolgopolov was one of the few players who decided to come to us, where we could see him live, while training with the team. I am convinced that the level of our activities and the possibility of rotation during matches at the setter position will contribute to greater comfort and better play of our players – Coach Robert Prygiel
I had no problems with acclimatization, because Radom is similar to my home town. I would like to strengthen teammates and play my best. Previously, I had no good offers until it came from Radom – Dolgopolov.
Before signing with Radom, Dolgopolov played for Estonia’s Selver Tallin, Finland’s Hurrikkani Loima, Kazakhstan’s KazHrom TNK, and Ukraine’s Lokomotiv Kharkov and Luchesk Lutsk. In Radom, he will be joining Team USA’s Dustin Watten.
