Minnesota made just seven hitting errors in an efficient .386 hitting performance and sweep of border rival Wisconsin on Wednesday.
The Gophers also held a 6-4 edge in aces and 46-39 lead in kills. The Badgers boasted a 4-3 advantage in net defense.

Opposite Stephanie Samedy and outside hitter Alexis Hart pounded down 14 kills apiece, each hitting over .500 on the night to pace the Gophers. Hart hit at an errorless .609 clip (14-0-23), while Samedy hit .545 and rounded out a double-double with 10 digs. Outside Adanna Rollins added eight putaways. Setter Samantha Seliger-Swenson just missed a double-double with 39 assists and eight digs.
Middle blocker Dana Rettke led the way for the Badgers with 12 kills on a team-high .370 hitting effort. Outside Madison Duello and outside Grace Loberg chipped in eight putaways each. Loberg and middle Tionna Williams put up three blocks apiece.

Minnesota worked its way to a 8-4 lead in Set 1, including four Samedy kills, and never allowed the Badgers closer than two the rest of the stanza. The Gophers led 20-16 and rode a 5-1 run to the end of the set. Aces by Seliger Swenson and Lauren Barnes highlighted the final rally.
Wisconsin led by two at 10-8 in Set 2, only to see the Gophers steal away the lead and the set with a 6-0 push, including three UW miscues. The Badgers cut the margin to two at 22-20, forcing a Minnesota timeout. Kills by Hart and Samedy and another perfect serve from Barnes capped the 25-21 victory.
The Gophers raced out to a 13-2 lead in Set 3, including eight straight points to start the stanza. The Badgers were within six at 18-12. Two Rollins putaways made it a nine-point advantage at 21-12, and another put Minnesota on the hill at 24-14. Rollins then went to the service line and delivered an ace to close out the match.
Minnesota moves to 51-30 in the all-time series with the Badgers and have won seven straight including sweeps in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
