San Antonio’s Reagan High School Moves to #1 in USA Today Super 25

After a week at No. 3, San Antonio’s Reagan High School is now the top ranked team in the country according to the USA Today/AVCA Super 25 rankings.

Reagan, which is 33-1 on the season, moves in front of Louisville’s Assumption High School, which fell to rival Sacred Heart last week, and Santa Ana, California’s Mater Dei, which dropped from No. 2 to 3 after falling to newly ranked No. 17 Santa Margarita (Calif.).

P.M. Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) and Rouse (Leander, Texas) round out the top five.

The biggest movers in the rankings were Mercy (Louisville, Kentucky), which climbed from 23 to 10; Eagan (Eagan, Minnesota), which moved up from 21 to 13; and Woodlands (The Woodlands, Texas), which went from 25 to 16.

Five new teams jumped into the Top 25 this week, with No. 17 Santa Margarita (Calif.) earning the highest debut. No. 21 Hebron (Carrollton, Texas), No. 22 Baylor (Chattanooga, Tennessee), No. 24 Lewis-Palmer (Monument, Colorado) and No. 25 Lenexa-St. James Academy (Lenexa, Kansas) round out the group.
