In a developing trend in college volleyball, several incoming freshmen have joined their new teams in January to get a jump on preparations for their upcoming careers.
One of the biggest early additions is Gatorade National Player of the Year Thayer Hall, who is enrolled at Florida.
Three other 2017 Gatorade Player of the Year honorees are among the group:
- Illinois: Mica Allison, S/OH, Auburn
- Michigan: Erin O’Leary, S, Michigan
- Texas: Adanna Rollins, OH, Minnesota
A total of 33 early enrollees will be with their teams this spring. Eight schools are welcoming more than one addition.
