NIVC Quarterfinals Set After Friday Action
The quarterfinals for the Women’s NIVC are set after eight contests on Friday, including five set wins by Portland and UNLV. Action resumes Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Co-champion UNI middle blocker Piper Thomas took home the MVC’s Player of the Year honors, while Bradley’s Hannah Thompson earned the conference’s Freshman of the Year award. Illinois State’s Courtney Pence earned the league’s Libero of the Year honor, while her Redbird teammate Stef Jankiewicz was tabbed Setter of the Year.
Oregon’s Vander Weide’s 22 Kills/28 Digs Put Her in 1000/1000 Club
Oregon outside hitter Lindsey Vander Weide racked up 22 kills and a career-best 28 digs to lead the #16 Ducks to a five-set victory over #21 Washington State on Sunday, joining the 1,000 kill/1,000 dig club in the process.
RV UNI Blows by Drake in MVC Opener
RV Northern Iowa got off to a strong start in Missouri Valley Conference play, notching a sweep of Drake on the road Friday night. The Panthers hit .216 and had 3 contribute double-figure kill totals to secure the victory.

Valparaiso senior outside hitters Allison Ketcham and Katherine Carlson both reached 1,000 career kills and became part of an elite group of nine players in school history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
