It was a history making night for the No. 14 seed Marquette University volleyball team as the Golden Eagles swept Cincinnati (25-19, 25-21, 25-16) to reach the round of 16 in the 2018 NCAA Championship for the first time in program history.
Marquette defeated St. John’s 3-1 to advance to its second straight Big East Tournament final, while Creighton swept Villanova to reach its seventh straight conference tournament title match.
10th-ranked Creighton remains alone atop Big East standings, earning its 8th-straight victory in 4 sets over Villanova Saturday.

BYU took out #5 USC and Syracuse on the same day while #22 Marquette upended #5 USC at home in the night cap.
