Saturday Roundup: 8 Sweeps, 3 Seeds Fall, Michigan Wins Marathon vs. Pitt

Saturday featured 12 matches with the winners earning a ticket to the Sweet 16 next weekend. Eight of the matches ended in sweeps, although two of those provided upsets as No. 9 Creighton and No. 11 USC fell to Washington and San Diego respectively.

Big Ten Tabs Seliger-Swenson, White, Poulter, Parker as 2018 Individual Award Winners

Minnesota’s Samantha Seliger-Swenson was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and Co-Setter of the Year, while Penn State’s Kendall White was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. Illinois’ Jordyn Poulter also garnered Co-Settter of the Year nods, while Penn State’s Jonni Parker earned Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors.
