VolleyMob first, second and third team All-America honors recognize the top three teams from courts 1 through 5. UCLA’s Megan McNamara/Nicole McNamara (Court 1), Lily Justine/Sarah Sponcil (Court 2), Izzy Carey/Megan Muret (Court 5), Hawaii’s Carly Kan/Laurel Weaver (Court 3) and Pepperdine’s Skylar Caputo/Alexis Filippone (Court 4) make up the first team.

22 Collegiate Beach Pairs Earn AVCA All-America Honors

UCLA’s top pair of Nicole McNamara/Megan McNamara earned their third straight Beach All-America honors, while Hawaii’s Emily Maglio garnered her second selection among 22 AVCA honors announced Thursday.

33 Women’s Pairs, Eight Mens to Vie for USA Collegiate Championships

The top pair in the country will be crowned on Saturday at the Bridgestone USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships. The event will feature 32 women’s teams hailing from 18 schools and eight men’s teams.

UCLA Wrap Beach Season at No. 1 in AVCA Poll, FSU Jumps from 7 to 2

After reigning as the No. 1 team in the land beginning with the Week 6 poll, the UCLA beach volleyball team caps the season in the same position, continuing a five poll reign atop of the AVCA Beach Volleyball listings. The Bruins bested Florida State 3-1 for the NCAA title on Sunday.

Florida State Heads to NCAA Title Match; UCLA, Hawaii Still Alive

Florida State is on the fast track to the championship, topping No. 3 seed Hawaii 3-2 and moving on to the championship match. The Sandbows and No. 1 UCLA will battle it out Sunday for a chance to face the Seminoles.

Florida State, Hawaii Upset #1 UCLA, #2 Pepperdine at NCAA Beach

Only twice in NCAA beach volleyball championship history has there been an upset where the seed difference was more than 1. The other: last year, where #4 Florida State beat #2 UCLA in the semi-finals of the elimination bracket. The other small handful of upsets have all been 1-seed differences.

Senior Madeline Mertz and sophomore Kaylie McHugh were named among 48 American Volleyball Coaches Association Top Flight Award winners, the organization announced Thursday.

UCLA’s McNamaras Named Pac-12 Pair of the Year, USC’s Graudina Rookie

UCLA junior Nicole McNamara was voted Pac-12 Beach Volleyball Player of the Year and is part of the duo that was voted Pac-12 Pair of the Year with her twin sister Megan McNamara, the Conference office announced today. USC’s Tina Graudina was voted the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year while UCLA’s Stein Metzger was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year for the second-straight year.

ESPN Networks to Broadcast NCAA Beach Championships Beginning Friday

In an upgrade from the 2017 coverage, all 14 matches will be broadcast live, an improvement over a three-hour timeslot on day one and two. The broadcasts also will be coming on the ESPN family of networks, vs. truTV, which aired the preliminary matches and TBS which showed the championship match.
